The sun was shining on Halmstad and it was a perfect day for trotting. One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track. Nessla Lou Doillon could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start. The leader couldn't hold the lead and Darmstadtio Vox sprinted to the front. Di Francisca started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified. The leader got disturbed by something and Éclair Blanc took the lead rather easily. Nothing seemed to be able to stop Éclair Blanc today. It continued in the lead. Éclair Blanc kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch. Final standings. 1 Carlos Plaxton, 2 Darmstadtio Vox, 3 Éclair Blanc. Results
