Only a few clouds could be spotted on the sky this day. Åby track was in top-condition.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Quick Body could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.




This is the positions after 500m. Confident Beard, Dead Star, Tempting Starlight, Helpful Blast, Duveteux, Quick Body, Carmelo, .




Helpful Blast sprinted past it's competitors after a 1000m and took the lead. Duveteux showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galoping.




Helpful Blast was still in the lead after 1500m.



Helpful Blast looked like a million bucks when we commenced the homestretch.






Confident Beard sprinted away from the rest of the field and won quite easy.
