The weather had been good all week and Kalmar was in good shape.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Pommerail took the lead after a very quick start.




Dead Work saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead.




Dead Work was in great shape so far and looked happy in the lead.




Ferroni accelerated after 1500m and took the lead. Dead Work showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galoping.



Pommerail suddenly found some strength when the driver removed the earpads and sprinted to the lead.






Winner of todays race was Pommerail. Ferroni came in second. Dead Work became third.
