One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Sailing In Dreams was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead. When the startcar left the field Whatever Duchess started to galop and lost 40 m. When the startcar left the field Speeding Lizard started to galop and lost 30 m.




Sailing In Dreams was in fine shape and held the lead.




No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo.
