The sky was free of clouds and the sun was shining at Biri this day. One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track. In Mystery found a gap and took the lead. Solid Plan followed before Benedetti. This is the positions after 500m. Growing Steel, Benedetti, Solid Plan, In Mystery, All-Star Player, , , . Growing Steel clinged on to the lead after a 1000m. Benedetti saw a chanche when the tempo dropped and could easilytake the lead. In Mystery galloped for 60m and was disqualified. Benedetti looked like a million bucks when we commenced the homestretch. Growing Steel showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galoping. Final standings. 1 All-Star Player, 2 Benedetti, 3 Solid Plan. Results
