One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Blandine tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to Montillet that came steaming ahead.




Blandine saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead.




Glorious Rose sprinted past the competitors and took over the lead.




Blandine looked to be in good shape this day and took the lead after 1500m.



Glorious Rose speeded up in the last bend and was first on the homestretch.

Blandine showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galoping.




No-one could catch Glorious Rose today who won before Montillet and Blandine.
