One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Maglor could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start. Woodbine showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galloping.




This is the positions after 500m. Fierceful Dragon, Maglor, Clermont Gentleman, Tripping Starlight, Million Montana, Excellent Boy, Trench Monkey, Travelling Diva. Travelling Diva galloped for 60m and was disqualified.




Fierceful Dragon clinged on to the lead after a 1000m. Tripping Starlight was disturbed and galoped 10 m. Trench Monkey suddenly made a bad step, started to galop and lost 40 m.




Standings after 1500m . Lane one Fierceful Dragon followed by Maglor and Tripping Starlight. Lane two Million Montana followed by Clermont Gentleman and Excellent Boy.



Million Montana was first on the homestretch followed by Fierceful Dragon and Maglor.

Tripping Starlight was disturbed and galopped for 50 m.




Final standings. 1 Fierceful Dragon, 2 Million Montana, 3 Maglor.
