One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Bianco Colomba tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to General Comet that came steaming ahead. Carmen Tilly was to tense at the start and galloped for 10 m.

There were no mayor changes in the field at the 500m mark.

No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo.

Nothing seemed to be able to stop General Comet today. It continued in the lead.

General Comet were still in the lead when they started the sprint for the finish-line.

Wall Breaker galopped for 30 m on the homestretch.

Bianco Colomba won the race after a spectacular finish.
