One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Galileo could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.

The leader couldn't hold the lead and By The Way sprinted to the front.

Fair Lilac looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Naar De Lucht couldn't come out from behind the leader, By The Way.

Fair Lilac accelerated after 1500m and took the lead.

Naar De Lucht seemed to be in top-form this day and took over the lead.

Naar De Lucht sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch.

By The Way never caught up with Naar De Lucht who won. Galileo came third.
