It had been raining for several days at Tornio but the sun was shining this day a the track was in good shape.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Gare Du Nord sprinted away from the competitors and took the lead.




Gare Du Nord was in fine shape and held the lead. Ainoa Alku galloped for 60m and was disqualified.




Clatsio looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Katthammarsviks Ann couldn't come out from behind the leader, Gare Du Nord.




Clatsio looked to be in good shape this day and took the lead after 1500m.



Gare Du Nord was first on the homestretch followed by Clatsio and Fernande.

Mauri Jaara tried a little too much on the homestretch and Clatsio started to galopp and lost 40 m. Fernande was disturbed and galopped for 10 m. The spectators cheered much on the homestretch and probably caused Ainoa Alku galop. Ainoa Alku lost 30 m.




Gare Du Nord didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race.
