One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Many drivers had set there mind on a front position this day. Fastest of them all were Big Thrasher. Firmament Vacation ended up behind the leader. Modest Sky got caught on the outside and were forced to take place as first in lane two.

This is the positions after 500m. Grande Penne, Firmament Vacation, Kopniaeff, Ohio State Sheriff, Adorable Nugget, Modest Sky, Pure Magic, Big Thrasher.

The leader got disturbed by something and Firmament Vacation took the lead rather easily. Ohio State Sheriff showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galoping.

Kopniaeff saw a chanche when the tempo dropped and could easilytake the lead. Pure Magic galloped for 40 m.

Pierpont was disturbed and galopped for 40 m. Kopniaeff kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.

Kopniaeff didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race.
