One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Nairobi Superior tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to Vlucht Afwezig that came steaming ahead. Charity Work was to eager when the car accellerated, galopped and was disqualified.

The field stabalized after the bend and the speed was reduced. A bird flew just in front of Tripping Lovebreaker who started to galop and lost 30 m.

Maverick looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Vlucht Afwezig couldn't come out from behind the leader, Sleeping Cookie.

Standings after 1500m . Lane one Nairobi Superior followed by Focused Ship and Maverick. Lane two Vlucht Afwezig followed by Sleeping Cookie and Oracks Cherry.

Nairobi Superior sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch.

The spectators cheered much on the homestretch and probably caused Maverick galop. Maverick lost 10 m. Charity Work was disturbed and galopped for 10 m.

Vlucht Afwezig never caught up with Nairobi Superior who won. Focused Ship came third.
