One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Nottingham Hof was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead. Quinn The Eskimo was to tense at the start and galloped for 20 m.

This is the positions after 500m. Rennie, Brooklyn Fighter, Maverick, Niet Plafond, Sleeping Cookie, Quinn The Eskimo, Glittering Sun, Bisiani. Force Du Face started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified.

Niet Plafond sprinted past the competitors and took over the lead.

Nothing seemed to be able to stop Niet Plafond today. It continued in the lead.

Sleeping Cookie was first on the homestretch followed by Quinn The Eskimo and Bisiani.

Force Du Face was disturbed and galopped for 50 m.

Sleeping Cookie kept the speed the whole finish and won before Bisiani and Niet Plafond.
