One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track. Pécheux sprinted away from the competitors and took the lead. Pascal quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m. No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo. Standings after 1500m . Lane one Pascal followed by Quick Body and Paradiddle. Lane two La Máquina followed by Pécheux and Arrière-pensée. La Máquina litterally flew through the last bend and was first on the homestretch. Quick Body won the race after a spectacular finish.
