The weather had been good all week and Åby was in good shape.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Modest Sky could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.




From A Great Distance saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead.




Chanceux looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Proof Im Wrong couldn't come out from behind the leader, From A Great Distance.




From A Great Distance was still in the lead after 1500m.



From A Great Distance were still in the lead when they started the sprint for the finish-line.






Winner of todays race was From A Great Distance. Chanceux came in second. Modest Sky became third.
