The weather had been good all week and Dannero was in good shape.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Lily The Pink sprinted away from the competitors and took the lead. Forceful Bullet suddenly started to galop. Flemming Jensen had to struggle to get Forceful Bullet to tror again and succeded after 10 m.

Poggio Di Sanremo quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m.

Poggio Di Sanremo was in great shape so far and looked happy in the lead.

Standings after 1500m . Lane one Poggio Di Sanremo followed by Smoother Then Ever and Lily The Pink. Lane two Luxembourg Superior followed by Maximum Bandwith and Pécheux.

Poggio Di Sanremo were still in the lead when they started the sprint for the finish-line.

Éric Raffin tried a little too much on the homestretch and Tenth started to galopp and lost 30 m.

Luxembourg Superior won the race after a spectacular finish.
