The weather had been good all week and Leangen was in good shape.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Couturière found a gap and took the lead. Windy Sapphire followed before Ghostly Viper.




The leader couldn't hold the lead and Ghostly Viper sprinted to the front.




Couturière looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Pointing Biscuit couldn't come out from behind the leader, Ghostly Viper.




Ghostly Viper was still in the lead after 1500m. driver couldn't keep Windy Sapphire to trotting so they were disqualified.



Ghostly Viper kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.






Couturière made a good sprint on the homestretch and crossed the finishline before Ghostly Viper.
