Only a few clouds could be spotted on the sky this day. Hankasalmi track was in top-condition. One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track. Silver Man tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to Wild Maid that came steaming ahead. There were no mayor changes in the field at the 500m mark. A bird flew just in front of Seductive Scout who started to galop and lost 30 m. Wild Maid was in great shape so far and looked happy in the lead. Wild Maid was still in the lead after 1500m. Silver Man suddenly found some strength when the driver removed the earpads and sprinted to the lead. Swinging Cup galopped for 50 m on the homestretch. Tapio Perttunen tried a little too much on the homestretch and Seductive Scout started to galopp and lost 10 m. Wild Maid never caught up with Silver Man who won. Durango came third. Results
