It had been raining for several days at Vieremä but the sun was shining this day a the track was in good shape.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Wie Ein Wind found a gap and took the lead. Dusty Addiction followed before Expensive Garden.

Glory Striker quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m.

Expensive Garden looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Teegarden's Star couldn't come out from behind the leader, Glory Striker.

Glory Striker looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Rodin couldn't come out from behind the leader, Expensive Garden.

Teegarden's Star made a good sprint on the homestretch and crossed the finishline before Rodin.
