The weather had been good all week and Ylivieska was in good shape. One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track. Struggle For Finish tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to Dinart that came steaming ahead. Groving Grimsby quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m. Dinart took the lead after 1000m. Julienne didn't have a good time being caught on the outside. Dinart was still in the lead after 1500m. Julienne galloped for 60m and was disqualified. Sudden News galloped for 60m and was disqualified. Dinart sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch. Groving Grimsby was disturbed and galopped for 50 m. Winner of todays race was Dinart. Struggle For Finish came in second. Groving Grimsby became third. Results
