One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Hard Hero could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.




Hard Hero was in fine shape and held the lead.




Rugged Energy looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Shy Runner couldn't come out from behind the leader, Hard Hero. Hard Hero was disturbed and galoped 50 m.




Hard Hero was still in the lead after 1500m.



Hard Hero looked like a million bucks when we commenced the homestretch.






Hard Hero didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race.
