The sky was free of clouds and the sun was shining at Dannero this day.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Merry Genius was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead.




Marielle Ametist quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m. A bird flew just in front of Light Blast who started to galop and lost 20 m.




Narkissos Park looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Handy Bear couldn't come out from behind the leader, Marielle Ametist.




Standings after 1500m . Lane one Marielle Ametist followed by Narkissos Park and Torkel I Knipa. Lane two Handy Bear followed by Merry Genius and Light Blast.



Marielle Ametist sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch.






Merry Genius sprinted away from the rest of the field and won quite easy.
