The sun was shining on Solvalla today. A perfect day for trotting.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Silke could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start. Whispering Knockout showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galloping.




There were no mayor changes in the field at the 500m mark. Fair Closet started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified.




Elegant Fabric sprinted past the competitors and took over the lead.




Elegant Fabric was still in the lead after 1500m.




Elegant Fabric sat safely in the lead after 2000m.



With only a little left of the race Whispering Knockout galoped for 20 m. Elegant Fabric sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch.

Jorma Kontio tried a little too much on the homestretch and Weekend Hope started to galopp and lost 20 m.




Winner of todays race was Elegant Fabric. Silke came in second. Happy Madness became third.
