The sun was shining on Umåker and it was a perfect day for trotting. One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track. Rainbow Diva could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start. This is the positions after 500m. Gwendolyn, Breaking Brightness, Rainbow Diva, Giggling Venus, Venice Nova, , , . Giggling Venus looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Venice Nova couldn't come out from behind the leader, Gwendolyn. Rainbow Diva suddenly made a bad step, started to galop and lost 20 m. Venice Nova looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Giggling Venus couldn't come out from behind the leader, Gwendolyn. Gwendolyn galopped for 30 m on the homestretch.
