The weather had been good all week and Åby was in good shape.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Windy Ways tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to Dalvar Tre that came steaming ahead.




Rugged Pirate quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m.




Sad Rocker looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Gold Hugo Boss couldn't come out from behind the leader, Rugged Pirate.



Alcatraz looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Rugged Pirate couldn't come out from behind the leader, Sad Rocker.

The spectators cheered much on the homestretch and probably caused Tough Platinum galop. Tough Platinum lost 50 m.




Rugged Pirate made a good sprint on the homestretch and crossed the finishline before Windy Ways.
