The players just had time to make their last bets before the start. All horses seemed to be in good shape this day. Melbourne Night Prowler tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to Miss Nutmeg that came steaming ahead. Miss Nutmeg was in fine shape and held the lead. No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo. Melbourne Night Prowler saw a chanche when the tempo dropped and could easilytake the lead. Melbourne Night Prowler sat safely in the lead after 2000m. El Rapido was disturbed and gallopped for 40 m. Melbourne Night Prowler kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch. Miss Nutmeg sprinted over the finishline before Pointing Breath and Melbourne Night Prowler. Results
