One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Gorgeous Box could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.




The leader couldn't hold the lead and Zonke sprinted to the front.




The leader got disturbed by something and Ununseptio Vox took the lead rather easily. Gorgeous Box suddenly made a bad step, started to galop and lost 50 m. driver couldn't keep Front Arraow to trotting so they were disqualified.




Damien accelerated after 1500m and took the lead. Gorgeous Box started to gallop after 1500m and Robert Bergh had to struggle to get it back in trotting.




Damien sat safely in the lead after 2000m. Old Plan was disturbed and gallopped for 20 m. Zonke galloped for 60m and was disqualified. Celina galloped way to long and was disqualified.



Damien looked like a million bucks when we commenced the homestretch.

The spectators cheered much on the homestretch and probably caused Close Space galop. Close Space lost 50 m. Ric Hamilton was disturbed and galopped for 20 m.




Ununseptio Vox never caught up with Damien who won. Cheeza Fly Ameste came third.
