One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track. Silver Motor tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to Rugged Tiger that came steaming ahead. This is the positions after 500m. Meridiana Mio Numero, Climbing Moment, Farmer Johns Opal, Silver Motor, Branko Bill Cherry, Rugged Tiger, , . Climbing Moment sprinted past it's competitors after a 1000m and took the lead. Farmer Johns Opal looked to be in good shape this day and took the lead after 1500m. Meridiana Mio Numero speeded up in the last bend and was first on the homestretch. Farmer Johns Opal won the race after a spectacular finish. Results
