One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Criminal Force was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead. driver couldn't keep Secret Bull to trotting so they were disqualified.

Modest Thinker saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead.

Modest Thinker clinged on to the lead after a 1000m.

Nothing seemed to be able to stop Modest Thinker today. It continued in the lead.

Western Power put some pressure on the leader and could take over. Dribbling Bandwagon was disturbed and gallopped for 50 m.

Criminal Force suddenly found some strength when the driver removed the earpads and sprinted to the lead.
