The weather had been good all week and Kalmar was in good shape.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





De Débardeur tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to Glowing Midnight that came steaming ahead.




Heavenfaced saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead.




Heavenfaced clinged on to the lead after a 1000m.




Obladi Oblada accelerated after 1500m and took the lead.



Obladi Oblada looked like a million bucks when we commenced the homestretch.






Obladi Oblada kept the speed the whole finish and won before Flying Steel and Handy Boy.
