One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Nessla Axl could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.




There were no mayor changes in the field at the 500m mark.




Nielsen looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Running Grove couldn't come out from behind the leader, Nessla Axl.




Standings after 1500m . Lane one Nessla Axl followed by Amour Angus and Pallo Salma. Lane two Running Grove followed by Nielsen and Sergeant Pirate.



With only a little left of the race Reijo galoped for 20 m. Running Grove suddenly found some strength when the driver removed the earpads and sprinted to the lead.






Running Grove kept the speed the whole finish and won before Nessla Axl and Amour Angus.
