One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Modest Sunset took the lead after a very quick start.




The leader couldn't hold the lead and Pompeji sprinted to the front.




Modest Sunset sprinted past it's competitors after a 1000m and took the lead.




Nothing seemed to be able to stop Modest Sunset today. It continued in the lead.



Modest Sunset sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch.






Pompeji won the race after a spectacular finish.
