The sky was free of clouds and the sun was shining at Vermo this day. One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track. Fair Gossip sprinted away from the competitors and took the lead. The leader couldn't hold the lead and California Crown sprinted to the front. A bird flew just in front of Wolly Trap who started to galop and lost 20 m. Toronto Maiden started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified. Denice Rori sprinted past the competitors and took over the lead. Smiling Brightness saw a chanche when the tempo dropped and could easilytake the lead. With only a little left of the race Smiling Brightness galoped for 40 m. Playing Thinker galloped for 60m and was disqualified. Fair Gossip suddenly found some strength when the driver removed the earpads and sprinted to the lead. The spectators cheered much on the homestretch and probably caused Fair Gossip galop. Fair Gossip lost 50 m. Smiling Brightness galopped for 10 m on the homestretch. Ari Moilanen tried a little too much on the homestretch and Denice Rori started to galopp and lost 10 m. Nurse LaBelle won. Narkissos Stone came in second. Singing Sky caught third place. Results
