The sun was shining on Forus and it was a perfect day for trotting.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Close Scout was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead.

Redhawk Pegasos saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead.

No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo.

Standings after 1500m . Lane one Redhawk Pegasos followed by Frozen Action and Mr Ice. Lane two Alpine followed by Close Scout and .

Alpine speeded up in the last bend and was first on the homestretch.

Frozen Action sprinted over the finishline before Close Scout and Alpine.
