The weather had been good all week and Kauhava was in good shape.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Purple Sunflower could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start. When the startcar left the field Purple Sunflower started to galop and lost 30 m.




The leader couldn't hold the lead and Dévouement sprinted to the front.




Purple Sunflower looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that London Madam couldn't come out from behind the leader, Dévouement.



With only a little left of the race Vacherie galoped for 30 m. London Madam looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Shot Of Love couldn't come out from behind the leader, Purple Sunflower.






Winner of todays race was Purple Sunflower. London Madam came in second. Shot Of Love became third.
