The sun was shining on Östersund and it was a perfect day for trotting.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Racing Runner tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to Athletic Universe that came steaming ahead. When the startcar left the field Golden Lieutenant started to galop and lost 10 m.

Racing Runner looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Athletic Universe couldn't come out from behind the leader, Growing Bandwagon.
