The sun was shining and the birds was singing on Hankasalmi today.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Ruuturouva could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start. Carlos Arkansas was to tense at the start and galloped for 40 m. Markku Nieminen wanted a little to much in the start and Lord Tristan galoped for 40 m.




Monsieur Du Dijon saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead.




Carlos Arkansas sprinted past the competitors and took over the lead.




Nothing seemed to be able to stop Carlos Arkansas today. It continued in the lead.



Carlos Arkansas kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.






Ruuturouva sprinted away from the rest of the field and won quite easy.
