One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Appel took the lead after a very quick start.

Gaillarde saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead.

Neon Godiva looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that The Gunner couldn't come out from behind the leader, Gaillarde.

Standings after 1500m . Lane one Gaillarde followed by Appel and Relaxing Striker. Lane two The Gunner followed by Neon Godiva and .

The Gunner suddenly found some strength when the driver removed the earpads and sprinted to the lead.

Appel never caught up with The Gunner who won. Gaillarde came third.
