The weather had been good all week and Mikkeli was in good shape.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Devine Flower found a gap and took the lead. Athletic Universe followed before Rapide Du Bloc.




The leader couldn't hold the lead and Tumbling Thor sprinted to the front.




Tumbling Thor clinged on to the lead after a 1000m.




Standings after 1500m . Lane one Tumbling Thor followed by Rapide Du Bloc and Tender Force. Lane two Devine Flower followed by Athletic Universe and .




Tumbling Thor was still in the lead after 2000m.



Rapide Du Bloc speeded up in the last bend and was first on the homestretch.

Marcus Savin tried a little too much on the homestretch and Rapide Du Bloc started to galopp and lost 40 m.




Athletic Universe sprinted over the finishline before Devine Flower and Tender Force.
