One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Calix took the lead after a very quick start.




Calix was in fine shape and held the lead. Expensive Thought showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galoping.




Calix looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Expensive Thought couldn't come out from behind the leader, Goofy Red.




Calix was still in the lead after 1500m.



Calix looked like a million bucks when we commenced the homestretch.






Winner of todays race was Calix. Goofy Red came in second. Expensive Thought became third.
