It had been raining for several days at Åmål but the sun was shining this day a the track was in good shape.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Many drivers had set there mind on a front position this day. Fastest of them all were Golden Band. Definator ended up behind the leader. Portable Wave got caught on the outside and were forced to take place as first in lane two.

This is the positions after 500m. Thinking Dribbler, Slippery Factory, Escapade, Ambassadeur Du Dijon, Definator, Golden Band, Rambler Rebel, Tender Energy. A bird flew just in front of Portable Wave who started to galop and lost 40 m.

The leader got disturbed by something and Slippery Factory took the lead rather easily. Portable Wave showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galoping.

Thinking Dribbler accelerated after 1500m and took the lead.

Thinking Dribbler didn't even look tired after 2000m and sat safely in the lead.

Thinking Dribbler kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.

The spectators cheered much on the homestretch and probably caused Thinking Dribbler galop. Thinking Dribbler lost 10 m.

Golden Band won the race after a spectacular finish.
