The weather had been good all week and Kalmar was in good shape.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Cunning Sword was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead. Climbing Power showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galloping.




This is the positions after 500m. Pesante Vox, Rotorhead, Amazing Venus, Cunning Sword, Comfortable Missile, Purple Heart, Climbing Power, .




Pesante Vox clinged on to the lead after a 1000m.




Standings after 1500m . Lane one Pesante Vox followed by Rotorhead and Comfortable Missile. Lane two Cunning Sword followed by Amazing Venus and Purple Heart. Comfortable Missile galloped way to long and was disqualified.



Cunning Sword suddenly found some strength when the driver removed the earpads and sprinted to the lead.






Cunning Sword kept the speed the whole finish and won before Pesante Vox and Rotorhead.
