Only a few clouds could be spotted on the sky this day. Åby track was in top-condition.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Calming Movement tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to Carlos Xante that came steaming ahead.




Slow Panther quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m.




Ato Boldon Superior looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Minette Du Lilas couldn't come out from behind the leader, Slow Panther.

Slow Panther won the race after a spectacular finish.
