One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Nouveau Triomphe was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead. Dan Widegren wanted a little to much in the start and Ursprünglich Aufgabe galoped for 30 m.




The field stabalized after the bend and the speed was reduced.




Ursprünglich Aufgabe looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Old Ship couldn't come out from behind the leader, Nouveau Triomphe.




Ursprünglich Aufgabe looked to be in good shape this day and took the lead after 1500m. Nouveau Triomphe galloped for 30 m.




Ursprünglich Aufgabe was still in the lead after 2000m.



With only a little left of the race Ursprünglich Aufgabe galoped for 30 m. Nouveau Triomphe was first on the homestretch followed by Ursprünglich Aufgabe and Old Ship.






Nouveau Triomphe kept the speed the whole finish and won before Ursprünglich Aufgabe and Old Ship.
