It had been raining for several days at Joensuu but the sun was shining this day a the track was in good shape.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Stepping Red could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start. Good Looking Wave suddenly started to galop. Jukka-Pekka Kauhanen had to struggle to get Good Looking Wave to tror again and succeded after 30 m.




This is the positions after 500m. Mad Red, Animaniac, Calming Lion, Stepping Red, Just A Horse, Narkissos Rivner, Bancroft Hof, Pick Your Bonus.




Mad Red was in great shape so far and looked happy in the lead.




Mad Red was still in the lead after 1500m.



With only a little left of the race Calming Lion galoped for 20 m. Mad Red were still in the lead when they started the sprint for the finish-line.






Just A Horse won. Bancroft Hof came in second. Mad Red caught third place.
