One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Machete found a gap and took the lead. Volcanic Bomb followed before Cheerful Technology.




Pinstripe´s Chloe saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead.




Pinstripe´s Chloe clinged on to the lead after a 1000m.



Melbourne Night Prowler clinged on to the lead after a 1000m.






Cheerful Technology made a good sprint on the homestretch and crossed the finishline before Melbourne Night Prowler.
