One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Many drivers had set there mind on a front position this day. Fastest of them all were River Raid. Vont ended up behind the leader. Handy Pirate got caught on the outside and were forced to take place as first in lane two. Kent P Gustavsson wanted a little to much in the start and Carlos Calera galoped for 10 m. Vont was to tense at the start and galloped for 30 m.

This is the positions after 500m. Vont, Handy Pirate, Clever Devil, Bleu Blanc Rouge, Quick Tiger, River Raid, Mille Bleu, Loyal Stereo. A bird flew just in front of Qui Phlex who started to galop and lost 10 m.

Handy Pirate took the lead after 1000m. Vont didn't have a good time being caught on the outside.

Nothing seemed to be able to stop Handy Pirate today. It continued in the lead.

With only a little left of the race Mille Bleu galoped for 20 m. Handy Pirate kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.

Handy Pirate didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race.
