One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Arctic Beat was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead.

American Fighter quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m.

Duquesne Whistle sprinted past it's competitors after a 1000m and took the lead.

Nothing seemed to be able to stop Duquesne Whistle today. It continued in the lead.

Duquesne Whistle kept the speed up and no one had a chance to take over the lead.

American Fighter speeded up in the last bend and was first on the homestretch.
