One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Lone Power tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to Walking Comet that came steaming ahead.




Running Cookie quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m. Hoffers Law started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified.




Running Cookie clinged on to the lead after a 1000m.




Standings after 1500m . Lane one Running Cookie followed by Spontané and Little Pity Party. Lane two Lone Power followed by Handy Action and Walking Comet. Walking Comet started to gallop after 1500m and Tom Horpestad had to struggle to get it back in trotting.




Lone Power put some pressure on the leader and could take over.



Running Cookie litterally flew through the last bend and was first on the homestretch.

Little Pity Party showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galoping.




Running Cookie didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race.
