The sun was shining and the birds was singing on Kaustinen today.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Starshine Blossom was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead.




There were no mayor changes in the field at the 500m mark.




Starshine Blossom clinged on to the lead after a 1000m.




Empress Brodda accelerated after 1500m and took the lead.



Empress Brodda sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch.






Starshine Blossom made a good sprint on the homestretch and crossed the finishline before Dawana.
